I'm from Andhra ,residing in RASALKHAIMAH,UAE, from 17 years. I have 2 sons elder one in 12th & second in 11th. My interests r reading, cooking ,travelling.
Is there anyone from RAK in IL?

Friends, this post is for one of my friends who is like ly to move to RAK mid-2008.

Can somebody help her with teh following queries :
1) Wht does a 2BR appt in a decent (Asian) neighbourhood cost per annum
2) Wht is the approx cost of living for 3 people for food, not too much shopping, but facilities like TV, internet etc.
3) Wht are teh good schools in RAK. Her kids are in UKG and 2nd so will be moving to 1st and 3rd. What is the approx fee?


I know these are a few too many Qs - but pls help.

Dear Sujata,

Cost of living is almost the same of Dubai and double bed rooms are approx
aed30-35000 you may find some good villas for aed25000. Here we have Indian Public School, Scholars Indian School, Alpha school, Indian School. Fee is aed170-200 per month plus bus fare aed 100-150 per month.

Just wanted a clarification. Is school fee in the range 170-200 or 1700 - 2000/ month.
