Indians in Ras Al Khaimah Meet here

My husband got a job offer in Ras Al Khaimah... and we are currently evaluating the offer.

If the members here could advice on:

- How much would it cost for a 2 bedroom apartment in a decent locality (Indians around)

- What sort of budget we must have for
* FOOD
* Medical (General)
* Travel (Public transport and TAXI)
* Broadband Internet
* Telephone.

- Is this place safe for families?

Would help in great deal if the members could suggest.

This is Amena,I m from Chennai.

We may be moving to RAK shortly. Can any of you please guide me on how much it would cost for a couple to stay?

i.e on a monthly basis what would be the entire expenditure? I am looking at a small 1 bedroom apt or even a studio apt in an Indian neighborhood. Also do you get all the stuff required to make Indian, esp south Indian food?

Also has anyone heard of this Wisdom Group of Institutions which conducts Indian university programs there?

Hope you all aredoing very well.

2 bed room flats in RAK cost Dhs. 30 - 40000/ annum.You may get villas at cheaper rents.

Other expenses are almost same as other palcesin UAE, but slightly less.

RAK is a calm place and good for family life.
