Myself a tamilian residing now at Mumbai.Myself along with my husband planning to shift to RAS AL KHAIMAH in June 2008.
Can anybody give me in detail about cost of living at RAK?
My husband is a mechanical engineer and we have a 1 year kid.
1.Housing rent/month
2.Grocery expenses/month
3.Telephone/internet expenses/month
4.Shopping/entertainment expenses approximately

whether cost of living is equivalent to Dubai?
Climate detail?

So thankful in advance for your replies.We will be grateful for that as it may help us in taking a decision.

june month is the welcoming season of summer in uae also in rak
pls go thro the prev msgs in this thread for rental
internet groceries and all very much equivalent to dubai only
rak is a cool calm place where you can have the beautiful view of mountain and also sea
not much entertaining stuff here
all south indian stuff are available in kerala store, nakeel, ras al khaimah

Hi,

I have posted a separate thread for this information but did not get any reply so trying again. I suffered from a slipped disc 6 months back. Now I am fine, the doctor has advised me to take up swimming as it is a good workout and does not put pressure on the back.

Can anyone please suggest me any swimming club here in RAs Al Khaimah which offer separate slot for women. I went to RAK hotel but they do not have a separate timing for women.

I would be really grateful if you guys can give me information about any women swimming club here.

I saw your enquiry thread abt swimming pool, in rak everything you find is arabic arabic, not much happenings like dubai better check yellowpages.ae, as key word put swimming pool or ladies swimming pool and see whether you get any result. Im also staying in rak city near ship round about, more details if you finish 50 posts so that we can discuss a lot thro private messages, btw you are from which part of India?
