Anyone interested in Hand embroidery,zardosi,aari,kutch,kantha or chikan work..i am conducting classes at home ,in Deira..pls reply..Also taking painting classes...

Stitching and needlework is my passion. I do it on and off , but need to learn a lot more..let me know how you plan to do this.

this thread is in the UAE sub forum.So respected Vinu from Chennai cannot have much help..I am taking classes at home in Dubai.Classes are for hand embroidery( basic 15 stitches) ,zardosi,aari ,kutch,kantha,kasoothi and chikan work.I also conduct classes for glass painting,fabric painting etc...

Saw your post about your passion for stitching and needle work.

I had done basic stitching many years before, now am very keen to learn to cut and sew my own salwar kameez and churidhar and kurtis and also for my 6 yr ols daughter,

Can someone help me find out, if there is someone who takes classes or one of you, hobby ites, can help???

Sorrrrrrrrrryyyyy..for this delay in replying..i conduct classes at home in deira.But since i have guests coming over this week and i am going home for vacations in a few days time i will have to suspend the classes for a short time.i hope to resume in september but.i am posting the details here.

Classes offered:

Hand embroidery – Basic- 15 stitches

Zardosi and Aari work
Kutch work and Kasoothi
Kantha work and chikan work.
Glass painting
Silk painting
Fabric painting
Flower making (crepe paper,stockings etc)

Advanced embroidery, nib painting classes beginning soon

Class timings: Morning : 10 to 12

Evening : 5.30 to 7.30

but the timings can be adjusted to ur convenience..You will have to bring the materials like the cloth or the thread and frames for embroidery.Everything is available here in Dubai..

thank you and i have seen your posts earlier also. I stay in Satwa and dont drive.... Deira ..........in peak hrs of mornings( when children are in school) is difficult, esp with the traffic sitns.

Anyways, have a nice vacation and shll get in touch with you and lets see if something can b worked out.
