Dressing Style in Sharjah

hi all,
HAPPY DIWALI
im planning to move soon from mumbai and relocate to Sharjah near City Center Mall.
i am curious to know what is the dressing style there.
i know people are conservative there.
but do women have to wear long sleeves..khaftan,, skirts,,
i have no clue i always wear trousers and long tops to work i need to know more about the dressing code there..accordingly i can make arrangements to get clothes.

Dear Gisjul,
You do not find very hard dress restrictions here. Very short clothes are not very common. Saris, Salwars, Chudidhars, trousers- tops, jeans- T-shirts are all very commonly worn here. No need to wear Abhaya, as is required in Saudi.

There is no restricted dress code at all. YOu can wear casuals, trousers. even Indian outfits.
I was in UAE past 10 yrs and was there 4 yrs in Sharjah. So dont worry and enjoy your life there. All the best. Even I m planning to go back.

Now Sharjah has become more like Dubai.You can even move around in your shorts.

thanks to all ladies..
im now in sharjah and have started observing the dressing sense here.
This place is good and my hubby and myself always go for walks in late evening together..
