Driving License in Dubai

Hi Ladies,

I am going to go in for driving classes. I think my nearest will be in the one in reef mall. I have a Indian driving license. I can go anytime so i can go anytime, i mean i am a housewife, but my hubby how will he go bcos i came to know that the classes are there only till 5PM. Is there any driving institute near Interchange 5 in sheikh sayed road. If i leave this ramadaan period then it is very hard for him to go. Then how is easy is getting attestation in our copy license from the Indian Embassy. Some one said do not go now as they are busy with amnesty rush. So ladies can you please tell me Is there any driving institute in riqqa where they will get attestation on behalf of us and do everything required on our behalf.

Also share your experience (Good and Bad) of your learning to drive in Dubai and getting all things sorted out for getting license.

Dear Bala,
I would recommend registering with Bel Hasa / Emirates Driving Institute. There may be a waiting period before your classes start.

Hi Bala,

I am new member of this forum. Here is some info I have on the license stuff. Getting an attestation with the embassy is pretty easy. Go there in the morning at 8am and submit your application (their timing now, during ramadan is 8am to 11am) and they will give it back to you with the attestation.

Emirates driving institute has branches all over Dubai. THey also pick up and drop students either from their residence or office, whichever is convenient. Your husband can utilise his lunch time for the class or there are VIP special weekend class which happens on friday. These classes are 20dhs more than the normal class but its an option you have...

All said and done, getting a licence here is more painful than our first delivery... good luck
