Hi to all the above dubai ladies, I have tried to get the above names from new to the forum thread. All these ladies including me, we live in and around dubai. I just thought why dont we all meet up or have you all met each other already and i didnt see that thread. I tried to search as much as i can but there was no thread about meeting of dubai ladies anywhere. If there is, please redirect me.
I was just thinking why dont we do some or all of the following things that i have listed down:
1) Meet regularly, once in a month in a common place where we can sit and discuss/chat etc
2) Can i suggest to form like a kitty party, if you all agree.
3) Can we exchange books/magazine etc and maintain a book like a mobile library of IL
4) I was just thinking may be we can share our problems/queries/worries, things that you hesitate to put on the net or to chat regarding our regional schools, hospitals, office, etc, etc....
5) Just one or 2 hours max in a month cant we get out of our routine and meet, just like taking a break from our routine.

I hope i didnt write anything wrong, please bare withme, aboveall people are in burdubai, karama,diera, sharjah border etc, so iam sure we should make it.

Brilliant plan, a bit difficult to execute, maybe we can work out the details to start with, see here most ladies work as well, free time at home is spent catching up on home work, meeting up with friends, relations, taking the children on outings, .........
Don't be upset if you don't receive a lot of mail at first, a lot of us are new here and it will take a bit of time

Transport could be a major prob. as not everyone drives -- esp. it is for me ; since I'm presently in Jebelali & moving to Rashidiya next month . If the meet is happening sometime in Nov. I'm very much interested, as by then we would've settled in new home.

Lets see what others are telling, some are from burdubai, satwa, diera, sharjah.

Ladies, all of you think nicely on the following lines and then decide
1) Just break from your routine to meet your IL. People who are working should be given preference so that they also can attend.
2) Are you ready to spend on the taxi/bus (in case you do not have own transport like me) to reach the place wherever we are going to meet. When you reply , you can suggest the place too. Majority wins.
3) If you are not able to find a baby sitter for the baby, its ok you can come with your kids.
4) People who are doing home based business like Tupperware, baby sitting from home,Honey Jewellery or home made pickles,powders etc... can bring their catalogue/pamphlets/details of their business,... so that they can distribute.
5) If you feel you can share your old magazines, fiction, matriculation/cbse/icse etc school books various std for other parents if they need to.
6) We will discuss everything before we meet so that we will know our agenda, so people can decide if they will be interested in coming.

I am game... I reside at Sharjah...and am willing to come to Dubai....say Deira or Karama... BUt the Holy month of Ramadan is starting tomorrow... and get togethers are not allowed for a month... So we may have to postpone any meetings to Oct end or Nov...
Just let me know when and where...

Very interesting, now only i saw this thread. Im in Ras Al khaimah which is 150km away from dubai. Mostly, once in 2 months that also in thrusday evenings only we visit dubai. As twinsmom said lets also go with the country in observing ramadan and then start the get-to-gether. I will try to take part some time later.

Just now saw this thread. a great idea! We had tried this out among our friends- a small group however. Unfortunately, couldn't carry out the meet regularly. Would be happy if something like this works out. usha
