semi precious gem stone beads

hello all,
i am in uk now. my brothers marriage is next month in india bangalore.
i am planing to buy the semi precious gem stone [COLOR=green ! important][COLOR=green ! important]beads[/color][/color] like jade,garnet ,onxy,
argate.peridot,.......for gifting it to the guests .around 4-5 pounds for 15'' strand and bead size around 4-6 mm . i searched in the internet ,i found many [COLOR=green ! important][COLOR=green ! important]online [COLOR=green ! important]stores[/color][/color][/color] for this. but i am not getting any shops where i can go and buy?
is this worthful to buy online ,are they guaranteed original semi precious beads i am worried about?
pls give me your opinion and also good sites and also some direct stores if you know?
