Visitors visa to UK

Hello IL Ladies in UK,

I will be travelling to US from India in few months from now and planning to halt at UK and roam around with a friend of mine there for maximum of 2 days. I will be getting a valid L2 visa for my US visit. So what visa do I require for halting in UK and let me know the procedures for applying the same.

Though I don't exactly know the procedures for visiting visa here, you might find the website here very useful - www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf2visitors.

You will have to appy for the visitors visa. Need to get an appointment for the same.

Can do it as under

Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to apply for visitor’s visa and the details are as under. Request you to give the appointment at the earliest. Name and Surname of the applicant: Passport number:Visa category: Visitor Visa Application Centre that you would like to visit: Preferred date and time (Please provide 3 options) 22-June-08, 11:30 AM 23-June-08, 11:30 AM 24-June-08, 11:30 AM Thanks
