Moving to UK- Please advice

My husband has been transferred to UK from US and we are planning to move by mid- Oct and will be staying in Hounslow (since his client is located in Hounslow)

Please advice on the following-

- How do I contact OBGY, pediatrician & hospitals in Hounslow; We are expecting our 2nd child in Jan '08;
-Recommendation on schools in Hounslow for my first son who is 7.5 years; how do I go about applying.
- Indian community/grocery/restaurants in Hounlsow; & what kind of external help (nanny, cook etc..) I could get in Hounslow;
- I am looking for furnished apartments and please recommend safe & good apartment complex, near to primary school.

u didnt say in which part of hounslow u will be living.....east....central or west.

first u have to be registrated with a GP and he'll tell u abt the hospital where ur child will b born.

We are still in the US currently. We have been searching for apartments (on the web) in Hounslow and need guidance on which is safe location (East/West, central etc..) .

Appreciate suggestions/recommendations.

Thanks for the information.But I am still a little confused. Is my GP my OBGYN orwill he put me to one .Once Iam in Hounslow how long will I take to get one. I am scared because I am 22 weeks pregnant.Can I find my doctor within a week.
