Indian Ladies in Houston - Meet here!

i am pushpa, i am new to this site and moving to houston in 10 days from now....becoz of my husband job,i am from hyderabad india,my husbands job is in downtown houston,i want to know in which place we want to take apartment. i am interested to live nearer to desi community,plz let me know any good aparment,iam 34 weeks pregnent now, plz ladies let me know the good docter for me,we are moving from detroit.now i am on h4. .......i wud like to make friends with all of u.. keep in touch

friends plz help me,because i am nearer to delivery, so as soon as possible i want to know the docter.i appriciate your help.......

Guess Houstonians are moving pretty fast...One meeting over..I see other places just starting to interact...I am looking forward to the next one...

What s happening ladies ? The week is moving a bit slow for me..No nice movies in tamil or hindi right ?
I am looking for easy italian vegetarian dishes..Any pointers ? Websites etc ?
Bored with usual dinner of chappathis and dosas..What ingredients ( Like diff masalas for north indian dinner) in common would we need for all the dishes ?

Tell u what!! I just tried pasta yday. Got the recipe from a friend. Its so simple and delicious. Try this out
The recipe goes like this...

Boil rotini pasta with salt and keep it aside. Saute garlic and onions in olive oil. Add mushrooms and capsicum to it. The add the boiled pasta shells to it. Add some salt and pepper. Then add the pasta sauce(prego) and saute. Garnish with cilantro or basil and grated cheese.
Buy prego (traditional). Its too good. You can also make pizza with this sauce.

There are so many indian food blogs. Try them. Most of them are very good. I like this one very much.

I need some help from you..one of my friend is moving to houston next week...and she is very worried about the place ..and she doesnt know any one over there.....She needs information about the best places to stay in houston...and her husband is working in down town .

can any one post some good apartments with good schooling system and indians near by?

Also in malls here, you get a free apartment finder magazine.. Indians are spread everywhere..
I stay in a place called Cypress, it has HP office, so loads of Indians around...Katy has quite a few too. In fact I heard from more than one person, that it has a good school.
Just ask her to be careful about some areas, cause their were thefts reported..Dominion park was the place i think..The rent is very low there, but not safe place to stay..I am going to do some research in coming days...

My contract here is getting over, so I might consider shifting...

Is ur friend here in Indusladies. Ask her to join, if not... this thread is quite active and also she can get her queries answered...
