coming to Houston on the 12th need help from all my lady friends and sisters

Hi my dear friends!!!!!!!!!!!!I am rajani from India-Chennai.I am coming to Houston on 12th of august for my higher studies at the University of Houston-Main campus.I have done my U.G in engineering.I am travelling all alone and I have so many problems and doubts.The situation is so bad that I do not have anyone to ick me up or even a place to stay.The main reason is I do not have any friends or family members in Houston.I have so many queries about how the lifestyle is in houston what is the transportation system what are the Indian stores In and around etc etc.please reply with some details regarding this ASAP.I really need some advice.Please consider me as your younger sister!!!!!

You can ask any queries you have to me. I shall be going to UH too this fall. I am married and have been staying in Houston for more than one year. Please shoot your doubts. Which deparmtnet will you be joining ?
