Travel between Richmond and Washington

Hello All,
I live in Richmond and need have got a job in Washington. Anyone has any ideas on commutation between Richmond and Washington on a daily basis? I dont want to move to Washington just for this.

The travel by car route shows it is 2 hrs.. Do you know of anyone who is commuting daily? Please let me know

I am not aware of the routes.... Do check Metro - Home page by giving the nearby metro stop (both the starting and destination point)

Thank you Gowri.. A struggling 2 hrs one way :( someone suggested Amtrack and that isnt any good for time-saving as well
