How is everyone doing? So quite :)

Need your help.. I want to take my mother to some places nearby. We have been to Norfolk zoo, luray caverns, cheaspeake bay, shenandoah, washington.. anywhere else? We have only one day in the weekend to travel. Any popular places around?

Tomorrow and day after, there is 'Festival of India' at the Greater Richmond Convention Center for 2 days. Oct 10th and 11th. Timings are
11AM to 9Pm on both days.

Their address is:

403 N 3rd Street,Richmond VA 23219

It will be fun, good entertainment and food! It is a good opportunity to see all the Indians in our community and even shop around.

Thanks Krithika. I am thinking of being there at around 2:00 PM... will you be there??? I dont have the car so will walk down if you are coming... just to catch up.

My mom only wants to see popular places so she can go to India and tell people

so far only Washington is checked on her list and everything else she says is not relevant

So please throw more ideas.. like popular places we can go back to India and tell types

Did you guys go to 'Festival of India'. I missed it :( We went to Baltimore to see the Aquarium...

Also, I need a parlour where I can get a facial done. Any suggestions?

hello gals

thot i shud pop in and say hi. I live in short pump in the wellesley community. I have been living in richmond for the last 10 yrs now. I have seen krithika a lot in the chitvish forum and recently realised from the sai baba temple post that she may be in richmond as well. it will be nice to get to meet fellow ILites.
