Indians in Nashville or Knoxville - Introduce Yourself Here!!

I am Geetha - new to this forum - from Chennai, India. My family of three plan a visit to Tennesee in April/May 2008, and I was wondering if there were any Indian families able to offer a one room/bath paying guest accommodation for a month in that period?

Also would like some info about transportation in both Nashville and Knoxville. Is there public transportation easily available, and can one get around without driving a car?

Hi All,

This is Bhuvana. I've been in Nashville for the past 3 and a half months. My friend who I stay with will be moving out of town soon.

I am looking for a place to stay for 2 to 3 weeks.
Please let me know if you have a room available for rent for short term.
It would be of great help!

Hi

I am a 28 year old married female who just recently shifted to Knoxville from Wisconsin and haven't yet made any friends. I am also looking for a job here but since i haven't worked for the past 2 yrs its difficult to find one. I am not choosy..just want to fill up a lot of spare time that I have. Any suggestions or advice?

About looking for a job, are you checking out the local Sunday papers job section? Or you could approach a local job consultant...they might be able to help you...

Incidentally, which field are you looking at?

I live in Chattanooga. Volkswagen is building a new manuf. facility here and will be hiring soon. I know of several inexpensive apartments here in Chatt. What type of jobs are you looking for? i will keep a lookout for them.bonk
