Question Comparing Singapore to other countries...

Hi all,
We are planning to migrate to Singapore and wanted a general comparison to other countries that you might have been before. Can you please help us out :) & answer these questions

Singapore:
Cost of living:
Job opportunities:
School/Education:
Lifestyle (Degree of hectic):
Better off in India?:

I'm in the US, so I'll fill this one. Can you please answer for another country you've been in to compare with S'pore?

USA: (in New York)
Cost of living: Very High
Job opportunities: Very Tough now for visa holders, ok for Green card/citizens
School/Education: average - I like Indian schools more, but US universities better
Lifestyle (Degree of hectic): Hectic, lot of time spent commuting in public transport
Better off in India?: Possibly

I know there can be many factors (like lifestyle and salary) but I'd still appreciate your inputs. For reference: we are a family of 3, both of us are professionals (in IT and Marketing).
Thanks!

It has been discussed already with inputs from ILites in Singapore. Please use search function before starting a repeated thread.
Thank You.

Hi, Well Singapore is a wonderful country but its very expensive. The cost of living is very high. Every thing is very expensive, even the food is expensive, atleast in US the food is not expensive. The housing is too expensive where as in US its not so. Singapore has no production, it just imports everything even the water is bough from other country. And its a very small country. Hope you got the point.

Hi lesasue86

How do you know that the cost of living here is very high? I understand from your profile that you live in US but I wonder whether you have lived in Singapore since you seem to tell so much about the coutry. But sorry to say not all the above are true.
Singapore is producing green leaves, veggies and has its own water plants too.
(I am not a Singaporean but I request you to refrain from posting false information. Thanks)
