What is this free international calls funda introduced by S'pore telephone companies?

Hi Singapore ILites,

I was browsing through the S'pore telecom mobile providers sites. I was amused to find free IDD calls to countries like India, I really couldnt understand the ofer or the talk plan excerpt for that

• they will charge only the local call charges
• There will be no connection charges
• Offer is valid till this year end(2008 end)

Can any one tell me is my understanding right and what are the hidden charges and conditions that apply to this scheme or offer.

To my small brain, I know that nothing in this world comes for free. So please throw light on the grey areas....

Please also speak about the quality of the call and the issues faced while using this service.
