hello all, Next year my child will be going to primary school, I think studies wise he is ok but socialization wise he is not that smart. if any body make him friend he will play with them otherwise he prefers to play on his own. By nature he is very shy. if friends talk to him rudely he feels & cries. he is very sensitive. Im very much worried for his nature, like may he will be more prone to bullying in primary schools, he will be an easy target. if in case my child will be bullied can I approach anyone. what is primary schools take on this in Singapore. is there any strict rules regarding bullying in Singapore. im trying to make him bold & confident. if anything happens he never defend himself he starts crying. pls help friends.
Hi, I had somehow missed your post. I am sorry. Bullying is strictly discouraged in all SG schools and also kids are taught how to protect themselves and standup for themselves and their friends. If you are very worried, it might be a good idea to speak to your child's form teacher and let the teacher know about your concerns. He/She will keep a look out for your child. Usually the teachers do watch out for the really shy/introvert kids. Take care. All the best to you and your son.
