Is living in Saudi Arabia for Indians safe? Please advise

I am new to this site and request your feedback on some queries I have in mind.
I name is Raj and am from India. I have been offered a job in KSA and would have to live in Hofuf. Could anyone please let me know how safe is KSA for Indians, especially HOFUF and how are Indians looked upon. I am upset as my internet searches have yielded quite worrisome results especially reports like the following link. Request you to please advise.
