How is life in saudi

Dear sisters

i have just got an offer for a manager designation in saudi may be i will be asked to live near riyadh if i decide to migrate

i have a wife and 4 yr old kid we live in ahmedabad and are gujjus

my wife likes to drive car and she loves to wear jeans

we are pure veg iam drawing 8 lacs per annum inindia


please let me know will my wife have to confine in house all the time i read some where women cant drive , what will she do if she require to take my kid to doctor ..

Do let me know should i accept an offer and with that what salary should i ask considering my present salary

life in ahmedabad is safe and cool we go out at 11pm in night to have an icecream and that sort of stuff


my wife loves to socialise will all these be possible there

please give detail answer i have already readed all threads

i need to confirm before interview that am i willing to migrate

your inputs will help me to decide

If you go through all the discussion in this forum (ie, Indians in Saudi Arabia ) you could get the answers to most of your queries.

No, ladies do not get to drive here..And regarding the salary part as against the present one..I guess, its upto you to decide.

single man with no family here.. maybe 5000-8000sr a month..
if you have transportation, living, and medical paid for, maybe a couple thousand less..
if your family are coming.. ask for 8000SR up to 10,000SR per mo.. that is a nice medium middle class salary
