Default How to utilize free time constructively ?

Dear Friends,

I landed in Riyadh and settling down .

I would like members to suggest how they pass time at Riyadh. Any constructive suggestions within the existing social enviroment.

I am also writing this-so that I can inform my fiance, when she comes here to Riyadh after marriage on how she can spend time in Riyadh.
Just want her to feel as comfortable as possible.
I would like helpful ILites to advice me on this.g

Rgds.
Prasa

Well I guess my first question would be are you and your fiance Muslim? If so, there are tons of suggestions I could give. If not, well lets see here there is hobbies, shopping, visiting friends, work (if she will have job)...... that's all that pops in my brain at the moment. Its hard when you are very new to Riyadh because it takes time to get to know your way around and make friends, etc.

I have found Saudi to be a great place for self reflection, yoga, meditation, and learning how to have patience.

Hi,

Thanks for the compliment.

I think that is the least I can do...as she has put her career on hold for me.And I know she has put in as many hours of hardwork as me :)..so just want to make her comfortable.

I would welcome thoughts... on any hobbies..from members...

Hi Sage,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I am new here and hardly have any friends. But atleast I get to go to work .

I also agree that am not from the majority community here and will need to build up a network.

If you have any advice for us - pls let me know....

Thanks ,

Rgds
