reason I mentioned Saudi Arabia is besides a career there is no other life here for anything else. You have left behind your home country & family. So coming here to Saudi could have either made you closer to your husband or it could have distant you? That's my question?

Hello,

The relationship between Husband and Wife is special and they are soulmates.
I don't think that, relocating to Saudi or for that matter, any other place, will affect their relationship.

I know that there are more restrictions for women here, but I came prepared for it. There was no second thought for me regarding coming here, b'coz, his job brought him here and being with my hubby was more than anything else for me.

I can and do keep myself engaged, so that there is never a dull moment.

bye....

Hello SV,

Its true that coming to saudi arabia, we women have to face a lot of restrictions. We cant even go out alone. But every situation has two sides, one good and one bad. Though coming to saudi may have many bad sides but there are also other good points like u get so much of free time to do so many stuff. We can pursue our hobbies, study further, do the things we always wanted to do but didnt get the time. We get more time to spend with out husbands. Since i come from a metropolitan city like Mumbai, i love the time i get to spend with my husband. It actually helps to strenghten our relationship. I feel that the time that we get in this country, we wont get it anywhere else in the world. Becoz i feel that since life in saudi is much relaxed and free, we can use this as our advantage to develop more intimacy, warmth and closeness with our husbands.........

Hello SValabhjee
I think Saraswathi and Geeta has answered ur query. Yes I do agree we have lot of restrictions in some of the Arab countries. But equally we get more time to bring out our hobbies. Do something that we were not able to do back home. And the most important thing is we get more time to spend with our spouse and know each other more better. As back in India we do have lot of relatives and friends so we do not pay that much importance to our husband and wife relationship. Now you already have 2 friends from saudi so contact them and do spend your time with them.

Hi Sweeties,

Riyadh! - A never before experience !.

Riyadh is taming me. I have been like a butterfly, but here, ... you know how it is. But the advantage I see here is, it makes me focussed more for my family and plan our time easily. All the time is for us us and us alone. Whatever is important for a family life, this place is providing. But yes, the outlook or the attitude of this country towards women is debatable and in most cases outrightly deniable interms of the liberty for women.

Ofcourse this country has its own cultural reasons for doing that. Talking about Saudi culture is altogether a big topic.

Summing up, I am spending more peaceful, quality time with my husband than in any other country. My Husband is quite eager to bring my kids in next cpl of months, because , he finds this place to be ideal to spend a very good time with me and kids.

Priyaa.
