New to Doha

hi i am now in doha(very much new).my husband's office is near apollo.Can u suggest good residential places near the area where i can see indians around.Is al mumtazah,al mansoora or mushraib a good choice.do suggest friends.bye.Main prob however is we do not have a car.Hence somewhere near apollo?How to obtain a driving license here.Better late than never!help shivani

Welcome to Doha!!!!!!!!I also live near Mansoura only. its reall good place &i feel its a centre place. its near to hyper markets l ulu, family food centre, near to airport, corniche(beach) & also good schools like BPS. We still have our exp IL's they can throw more light. All the best

Welcome to doha... najma, mansura, muntazah are all indeed good places with all facilities, like rest, groceries, and cilincs... and most of all walking distance... getting a license is quiet easy... if u hold and indian license ur classes will be reduced.. and if u have an UAE licence then u just have to get ur UAE license exchanged for qatar license... hope this info helps...

Welcome to Doha........Monsura,Muntaza are good places to stay........Al-Meera ,hospital,chat center,hotels everything are in walkable distances........we are also going to shift in this area in end of this month.
