Registering with GP (NHS) - Bristol

Hi all,

Greetings to all members. I need to register with GP ( NHS ) in Bristol (I live in Bedminster)

Can anyone let me know the procedure for registering with the GP. Can the registration be done on weekends?

Hi Suga,

We also moved here to London recently and had the same doubts.
You can contact the NHS people at new(dot)entrants@nhs(dot)net .
We also asked for a weekend appointment..Apparently its quite difficult to get one. There is only one weekend clinic every month for new entrants.
We registered in the beginning of april and our appointment is on 30th may...

So I suggest you contact them right away at this ID..

You must have already received a letter from them with the appointment procedure and all. If not wait for it (comes within 15 days from your date of arrival ) else, you can anyway check out their website for more info..

You need to go to your local Doctors surgery which is open on weekdays only, and some actually open up on a half day Saturday too, so you need to check the timings.
When you go to the doctors surgery, say you want to want to be registered, you simply fill out a form and hand it to them. Your medical card will arrive after a week or so to your home address.
