Default ANYONE doing CFA living in Cambridge/London

Hi Friends,

I am planning to do CFA(Chartered Financial Analyst) in Dec 2009. Wished to know if any one of you living in and around cambridge/london plan to enroll for the course.

I will be delivering baby in mid March 2009 and would really like to be in touch with the studies so that i can pursue career in future.

Hope to get a response soon.

Thanks & Regards,

Anupama

Hi Honeyline,

Thanksfor the wishes..

For doing CFA, you have to enroll with the institution and the fees includes enrollment fee and course curriculum.

There are three levels in the exam and level 1 happens twice in a year(June and Dec).
For fees please follow this
Fee Schedule
and for exam dates
Calendar

I am not going to University but for preparation we could enroll with some exam preparatory classes in london.

Let me know of your plans regarding the exam.

Thanks
Anupama

Hi,
I just enrolled for dec 09 exam level1.

I have received the books from the CFA institute but i'm not sure if that will be enough to pass the exam. Are you going to join any academy? what's your plan?

I'm working full time as accountant so i will be free just in the evenings.

Hi,

I am still not very sure that i'll be able to take up the exam in Dec 09, as i just delivered baby on 30th March. in next one month, i will surely make up my mind.

But, as far as i know some of my friends who cleared CFA level 1 relied on schweser materials.

What professional qualification do you hold.I assume you are a CA and clearing level 1 would be like a cakewalk for u.

I am an MBA(Finance) with two years of work experience as a research analyst for US and Uk investment banks.

As ot would be difficult for me to take a full time job now(i should say, finding one is very difficult), i plan to invest my time in studies.

let me know of your plans..there are some online CFA forums where candidates form a group and meet once a week to discuss difficulties and study plan... taking another course provider would be too expensive in my opinion..what do u say...

Regards,

Anupama
