Hi Jasmine,
My name is Habiba and I live in Gothenburg. When it comes to threading, I think you came to the wrong country. Swedish people don't know what threading is. Waxing is done at the saloons but it would cost you a fortune. Here in Gothenburg, I have found some indien ladies who do this in their homes during weekends and I have also learnt to do it myself.

I have been in Sweden since 35 years (grew up here). If I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Habiba

Thumbs down Re: Threading n waxing in Stockholm

THREADING: It took much searching but I found a place which isn't even difficult to get to.

Gabri & Co
G:a Värmdöv. 2
131 37 NACKA
Telefon: 08-718 08 83

Take one of the many buses (every 5 min) that go to Finntorp from Slussen. It takes 7 min and then it's a 30 second walk uphill, away from the main street. The salon is to the right.

Cost: upper lip and eyebrows 100 Kr

Hope this helps!!

(PS. Waxing can really be found anywhere but it's expensive. I buy the sugaring wax from Body Shop and do it myself.)

Red face Re: Ladies from Stockholm - Introduce yourselves here!

Hello!

My name is Lunita and I live in Singapore. I read here before that in Stockholm, waxign and threading are VERY expensive. This is not really easy to swallow as in Singapore, having a LARGE Indian community, it is so cheap and EXTREMELY good.

My sister got married to a Swedish and they will be having their Sweden wedding ceremony in June. She asked me to see if there was any better places to go for waxign and threading to prep for her wedding.

I read of great home businesses but anyone know exact details? Like where can she go and who to call for appointments? Thanks!

Hi,
There are hardly any saloons that do threading, and waxing seems to be an expensive affair.
So, I bought an epilator and have been using it on my hands, underarms and legs. Its absolutely painless, and will cost just as much as, twice a visit to the saloon.
I have been using a tweezer to shape my eyebrows, though this hurts initially, you would get used to it.

Regards,
MG
