Default Please Guide me

Hi Ladies,

I am 25 weeks pregnant and want to travel to London for sight seeing which we had planned a year before. My Gyno advised me to take Insurance for medical coverage during my travel to UK so that incase of emergencies, we would have insurance to cover. Should the visitors to UK never visit a Doc for any reason????????? I could not understand her very clearly... can the IL friends living in LOndon throw some light on this.
Thanks for your responses.

Divya

Hi,
There are no separate gynacs in UK.Pregnancy and child care are done by midwives and health visitors.I think ladies go to hospitals only for special cases or complications. So better take insurance.

Hi Divya,

it is usually advised that you carry your Insurance just in case - especially when you are pregnant. Do not stress out and I am sure you can always approach a doctor in case of need but I am pretty sure you will have a good time. So relax, plan your trip well and have a fantastic time. I am sure you know your body well and will stop often and take a break and enjoy.Eat welll, sleep well and do/see only what you can. Have fun.

Hi Supriya and Srama,

Thank you both for your feedback.

We did check up with many Insurance companies but none of them seem to cover maternity. So just wondering what to do? Anyway, we have planned a much relaxed itinerary so I think I would be able to manage.

thanks
Divya
