Hi Vishnu

Here is one more suggestion for you. Try to register your profile in Jobindex.dk. This website is in Danish and here you may find many job announcements regarding computer, software etc.

Hi Rashedba9

Thanks for your message. It is my pleasure to help if I can.

From today till 5th January I am having Christmas holidays. Today being Christmas Eve we are busy in celebrating the day. My daughters came home to celebrate Christmas. We are celebrating Christmas according to Danish tradition. Christmas is celebrated from 24th to 26th here. So I will be busy for the next few days.

But for me the best Christmas is the one I used to celebrate with my parents and brothers in India. We celebrate it just one day i.e. on 25th but it was also great. Anyhow my parents are not here anymore but I remember them always and they are in my heart.

My elder brother live in Chennai and the younger ones live in Hyderabad.

I can see you are from Chennai. What are you doing?

I have to go now. Have a nice day. Keep posting

Best Regards
Nirmala

Thanks Nirmalaji for the feedback and wish you a Very happy new year.

I am from engineering.

I want to know, the cost of living you quoted is for family of 4 or for single person. Also, I want to know, whether my wife can work there? She is graduate in Arts.

Welcome to Indusladies. Nice to know you are from India.
The cost of living in Aalborg including house rent, food, clothing etc. may cost you from about 10,000 to 15,000 danish kroners. It all depends on your need and demand. I am sure that you can meet all your demands with the monthly remuneration. I guess you are from IT Industry. May I know in which company you got an offer for a job?

One more thing you should know is during the first year while you live in Denmark you need not pay any income tax. After one year you have to start paying your taxes like danes do.

We get all type of Indian food here in the city. There are several shops, Indian, Pakistani,Srilankan, Vietnam, Thailand, Arabic, Iran etc etc. in the heart of the city. All types of spices, rice, atta flour and once a week we get fresh Indian vegetables too. So there is no problem in getting Indian food.

I have been living here for the past 29 years. It is very cold in winter, pleasant in spring and nice in summer. January to March are the coldest months. But the weather in Denmark is unpredictable. It changes often. Danes are kind and nice.

I hope the above information is useful to you. If you want to know more about Aalborg you are welcome to write again. If you have an email id you may send it to me then I can send you a mail if you need more information.

Have a nice day

Best Regards
Nirmala

Hi Satish

I also wish you a very happy and prosperous year. The cost of living I mentioned in my previous message is for about 4 persons.

Regarding a job for your wife it is not so easy unless she speaks danish language. Or if she is a software engineer she may get a job though she does not speak much danish. English will do. There is lot of demand for doctors, software engineers and nurses in Denmark.

You may ask me if you have any more questions about Denmark and it is my pleasure to supply you with information you need.

Best regards to you and your family.

Keep posting
