Default Tips on apartments in Boston

Hi,

We are relocating to US from India. We are looking for an apartment to stay for around an year. Office is at downtown (Cambridge). And I have a 7 month old kid as well. Should we look around downtown or Quincy or any other place? Our budget is around 1000-1500. Any tips and suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Krithika.

Usually people try to live in the suburbs and commute to Boston downtown for work rather than living there(as its very expensive). If you want to travel by train everyday: look for apartments around quincy, framingham, revere, malden etc. Goto MBTA.com > Official Website for Greater Boston's Public Transportation System and calculate the distance+expenses when making a decision. Hope this helps.

Dear Krithika,

I hav lived for six months in MA. It is a nice place. You can look for apartments in rent.com, forrent.com sites. They have options like the no. of rooms u r looking for, say, 2bed 2bath or 1 bed like that. Plces like Framingham, Worcester hav train facilities, check on them too.

All the best,
Viji.
