Default Need some details about Lancaster,PA

Hi all,

I have heard a lot about Lancaster,PA. But have never been there. This weekend (Tomorrow) we thought of visiting that place along with nearby vista points.

But i have some queries regarding Lancaster, plz someone clarify if you are aware of it.

When i browsed a website about Lancaster, it has been mentioned as a county which has still has the olden days culture, mechanism, food and tradition.

Can we visit all these at one strectch? Is it in a single compund like universal studios and hollywood? Or is it a regular town?

Heard that there are some outlet malls in Lancaster; are they really worth shopping in those places?

Please share here in this space about those details and anything if you know more.It would be of great help for me to plan the trip for tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

My information is based on when I lived in delaware 10 years ago so it may be out-dated!

Lancaster county is where the Amish people live. There are a few towns which you can visit to see how they live their lives without modern conviniences. There is no theme park as such. The scenery in that area is so pretty, you can spend a few hours just driving along and enjoying the scenery. Just be prepared to slow down if an amish horse and buggy is ahead of you on the road!

Yes, the Lancaster outlet malls are awesome! if you find some good sales, go ahead and buy. I used to love the kitchen item stores there especially. but do check to see if they are open on 4th july.
