My friend at work had the same situation last year. No their son cannot continue his enginnering out here. He will have to finish his TOEFL and apply for universities here with his grades he has received so far in INDIA. It will be good to get his transcripts here and talk to the university. You will be able to get appointments with the counseller in the university here.

Hope this helps.

Vidya

Vidya,

Is it better for her son to come here when she comes or continue his education in India? It's a catch 22 kind of thing. He is already 20 years old. When turns 21 years old he won't be considered as a dependent child. Do you have any suggestions. Is there anyway you could find out from your friend Please. Thank you very much.

he can continue his studies in usa on some conditions. he should have his SAT scores and toefl scores and u know the tuition fees is higher here in the universities than in india. my opinion is good for him to complete his engineering and come here for masters. that way your cousin will have less thing to deal with. good luck.
