Default Amazingly Good Chappathi Atta in NJ

Hi NJ ILites,

I live in CT. I ocassionally come to NJ to do some grocery shopping. The last time on my visit I went to Apna Bazaar in Oak tree road. I always bought GoldenTemple Atta. On that day I was looking for GT atta but had trouble finding it. So asked help in getting it from a person who looked like he was the manager of the store. He practically begged me to try Apna Bazaar Chakki Fresh Whole Wheat Atta. I bought it thinking that it might not be good. But to my surprise the first time I made chappatis with that atta, it was extremely good. Infact the chappathis were so soft and not so white like GT brand, which I guess it is mostly maida. They also stayed soft for my lunch the next day. Just wanted to let you all know about this atta and hopefully you all will try this someday.

Regards,
jothi.

Hi Jothi & Mohana,

This was the thread Sunitha was referring to - Wheat Flour: What brands do you get in US/CA

May be the information shared here will help you to hunt for more better brands of atta in your neighbourhood.
