    Hi NJ gals
    I am Planning to move to New jersey this JUne as I am starting my Residency at saint Peters Hospital in New brunswick.Can you please give me an opinion regarding Apertments in
    Edison
    Somerset - Harrisson towers,Landing lane and others
    North Brunswick - Hidden lake and any other apartments you know
    Edison

    I have a 3y/o kid and my SIL is also moving and they have 8y/o kid
    Can you please give a general opinion - Regarding Security,If Bedbugs/roaches are +,Maintainance,Nearby good day care

    Hi Ishani,

    Welcome to NJ.

    I was 3yrs in Jersey city(Nj) independent house. Recently shifted to Edison....isaw nearly 7-8 apartments.

    Let me list out which i like in those list :

    1.Blueberry&Edison village (mostly Indian community, but i heard some bedbugs &theft fear in site) In Indus ladies many said after i posted query nothing as such...anyway we dropped....

    But apartment was good they have some discounts like 6weeks free rental too.,

    2. Kensington apartment - very nice and mixed community, Management lady was humble to answer all our questions(due to my hubby's Newyork commute we dropped)

    3. Rivendel - good and spacious too(rent was high for us so dropped it 2 bedroom 1400+utilities/ month)

    4.Menlo park apartment - It was really good( no apartment was vacany during our search Management of this aprt and Kensington is same. You got Menlo park mall near by this aparment, i think it should be just 5mts walk.

    5. Aspen at Edison (where we are now located)- good, calm and Shopping plaza is just3-4mts walk....Majority Whites, Korean community and few Indian families are too here.

    Apart from this i saw Hilltop , Tafalgar full and full Indian communities..but though inside was good.. Elevation, entrance all was very untidy..

    Thank you for a detail opinion!How much is rent at Aspen?Is it a aprtment or condo,I am not able to locate it in Google,Can you plz post the address and phone no pf the leasing office.I really appreciate your help.

    HI Ishani,

    This is apartment, but here most of the apartment are owned by individuals.

    Address is :Boulder Dr, Edison-08817

    Rent is like $1350+utilities, bit high only but washer/dyer everything in in unit itself.

    Our owner is in other place, through my hubby's collegue we got this place.

    We don't have leasing office i guess, but they have some maintainence dept, i can get their number and give you. Check if you have any vacancy over here.

    As i am new to this place, i don't have any friends over here to check.

    Hello NJites,
    We are going to be moving to NJ as well from Texas with 2 kids 10 and 6. Can anyone suggest the best schools in Edison/bridgewater area where they can also find friends from indian community. We are Tamil and hoping we can find tamil speaking neighbours as well.

    Any suggestions on closeby apartments would also be much appreciated.
