Question Insurance details for fertility treatments

Hello All,

I have a question reg health insurance for TTC. I will be shifting to NJ soon and looking for some pointers for health insurance that cover charges for infertility treatmenst such as IUI, IVF etc.. I am quite new to this. Will the insurance also cover the cost of injectable medicines as well.... ?? I payed from my pockets for all these treatments from India but heard that in US we can have insurance for this. Also we will probably be getting the insurance from my hubby's employer with Bajaj Allianz...

Any pointers in this area like good hospitals and reproductive endocinologist in and arnd is well appreciated....

Thanks,
Malar

Default Re: Insurance details for fertility treatments

Hello Malar,

We have Cigna's Health Insurance and the type of the insurance is "Open Access Plus".This is being provided by my husband's employer in USA.We are in NJ from couple of months and have been visiting a fertility clinic called IVFNJ and were told that we are covered for almost all the procedures including IVF.I havent undergone any procedures so far ... was only given a fertility medication...we were covered for all the medicines...Coming to injectibles our Insurance did not cover for Ovidrel injection...we are just paying a copay of 20$ as our responsibility whenever i undergo any blood tests/diagonostics like Ultrasound...except that we did not pay anything from our pockets so far.Am not aware whether Bajaj Allianz's Insurance covers fertility treatments in USA.

I highly reommend you to visit IVFNJ as you are looking for a good Reproductive Endocrinologist. The doctor's name is Jeryl Natofsky. He is a male.He is a very good professional, does very good diagonosis .Actually IVFNJ is a group practice by 5 doctors in 4 locations in New Jersey. You can contact them directly to know how far you are covered by your Insurance for fertility treatments. Here are the links:

All the Best,
