Default Rice cost in Oak Tree Road Subzi Mandi

Hey Guys,

I usually shop in bhavani in piscataway.. and rarely go to Oak tree.. long drive from North Brunswick.. ;)

Anyone recently purchased Rice(Raw rice) in the main subzi mandi?

In Bavani 20 lbs was $32.99 and 10 lbs $15.99. Outrageous !!!

I have 3 bags in stock... but still...

Nandu,

In Bhavani, the price is a bit high, you will get $3-4 dollar less in subzi mandi,
i didnt check this weekend, but 10 days back the price is 27.99 in subzi mandi and they limited 2 bags per customer. if u are planning to stock more better go to Oak tree than bhavani.

By the way even i will go to bhavani every weekend, may be we should meet sometime :)

hi nandu,
me too, bhavani, every weekend ! looks like we could make bhavani our rendezvous !
thanks for the info on patels, nandu...
btw, we had been to costco the week before last...they had a brand called "blue ribbon"...price is lesser than our Indian rice, and it looked similar to our raw rice...but wanted to chk if anyone has tried it, before buying it...it was a big bag, 40 lbs or so....

Hi all,

Last sunday i went to bhavani cash & carry, oak tree rd. Any 20lb rice bag cost 30.99. But only 2,3 brands were left, like tilda sona masoori, kannaiah or something. None of the brands like priya nor lakshmi nor ravi were available.

Likewise i checked for wheat flour, only 40lbs were there that too a non-familiar brand.
