Deepavali Celebration in Illinois

Dear All,

I am put up currently in Wheeling, Illinois.... As Deepavali is nearing i feel like missing my home and India a lot. Since this is a festive season and deepavali will be nice to celebrate their by firing crackers and seeing all the loved ones.....

Can anybody suggest me any events and attractions conducted in any of the place near by you.

I am in Mountprospect. I wish you a Happy Diwali. On the Diwali day myself and my husband went to Lemont Temple. We got a very nice Darshan of Lakshmi Devi.We enjoyed the day like that.

We also went to Aurora temple in the morning and enjoyed the day. I cooked nice food for my hubby and his friends and got good appreciation from all

Though we were not in India my Parents and my In-laws called us and made us to hear the cracking sounds of 5000 walla and all other. My brother even gave live comment from there.
