Do not use Kajal or Kumkum on babies

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share this with all the moms out there on this blog.

I used to put daily put Kajal ka tika and sometimes after puja kumkum on my baby and it turned out it raised his Lead level in the blood. Kajal has 75 % of lead and Kumkum contains 99.9% lead. Fortunately we found out it soon enough to get his lead level down without him taking any medications for it.

Sounds like you shouldn't use it on anybody!

Very useful information.I use Eyetex just to keep bindi for my daughter but not on the interior of the eyes or on the side of the eyes.

Yes,Thats what my paed adviced and i have never used that on my son.
