Default Moving to Chicago- need tips :)

Hi All,
I'm from S'pore...but my DH is moving to the US soon. most likely to the Chicago intially.i wld been joining him say after a month or so. But my only big concern is my 18mths old baby. so thinking twice whether the climate their wld suit her..I mean is it ok for us to travel around Aug- Sep?? will it be cold?? Because both her & myself have never seen a typical winter....or wld it be ideal to trvale during summer for the firat time!!! can I hv some tips from those living in Chicago..so that can plan my travel accordingly :) TIA

hi ,
Aug -sept shld be okay for you to move in...it starts getting cold right arnd end of sept and then becomes progressivley colder...

Hi,

Aug-sept is a gud time to move in. Its kind of pleasent. Yeah cold/dark winter days in chicago do invite depressing thoughts, but by keeping busy and having nice people around helps.

Hi, I am from chicago area too. If you move in during summer months, and get adjusted to the cold whether is much better than moving in around sep timeframe. Aug is ideal as it will be hot here. In general, cold weather does not trouble children or adults as long as you bundle up nicely.

Aug month is ok.u can do ur shopping with ur baby too.from middle of sep cold starts.but in these months america looks beutiful with different color leaves.
