Ladies in Detroit, let's rate the Indian restaurants

Let me start...

Being a vegetarian, Krishna and Udipi are our all-time favorite restaurants. In Troy, our latest favorite is Chettinad. We used to like Mayur, but after we went there last week, decided not to go anymore unless I hear otherwise.

If you are a non-veg, Tawa in Garden City is a good place to eat. Also, for veg food there is Ashoka in Canton and also in Troy. There is also Ganesh Bavan in Garden City that serves great South Indian food.

Royal Indian Cuisine is much better, they have good chaat too.. I dont like Mayur at all.. Havent visited Chettinad yet.. Should go sometime.

we like madras masala.....though r confused abt the quality....when they 1st started they were mediocre.....then a yr later they were excellent....with lavish buffets etc,now they seem good....but not great .
I also like shalimar.

Handi is a very good resturant, the food is very tasty but a little expensive , but worth it give it a try.This resturant is in livonia .

Priya restaurant in farmington is also okay.
Krishna in canton is good for fastfood item.

I lived in detroit metro for 4 years.my first choice goes to ASHOKA,both troy and canton are decent and serves tasty food.....KRISHNA in gardencity is the good fast food though the dinning areas is small , very difficult to sit.once i went to Ann arbor downtown but not impressed by any restaurant.......but i heard madras masala's serving delicious lunchbuffet with plenty of items.
