Kuala lumpur settle re-think

We had wanted to shift base to KL from Hong Kong some years ago but did not go ahead at the time due to personal and unforeseen reasons!

Now, with the global downturn we are forced to re-think due to high cost of living here, future university studies for kids etc!

How do people from HK find the shift what would be the major adjustments to be made! Very importantly is it cost effective as compared to HK?

We have three teens and are in our forties would shifting be tough? Is it wise at all?
