I would like to know...
1) Is there any specific indian colony there?
2) Through map I can see 'PUTRAJAYA' is the mid place between kualalumpur city and airport. how is this place for residence also plz guide us about transportation. or if any other place which would u like to suggest.
3) I am web designer by profession. can i also work there?

plz reply
Shivali

Hi Shivali,
Putra jaya is similar to Gurgaon where all govt offices are located. Its a nice place ,but no indian colony.

You may find Indian indians in KL near Brickfields, shops also cater to Indian requirements

You can get a job only if you have a work permit ie the company employing you needs to apply for it. Work permit is not easy to get ,again depending on the employer company and its influence. You may work from home if some companies are ready to employ you on contract basis. But some private colleges will take you as lecturer but be carefull as to the salary, they may not pay you well without work permit.

But you may get a lot opportunity on piece meal basis.
Thanks
Jaya

Hi Sawasthi,

Have you already shifted base? If not I would suggest Subang Jaya more than Putra Jaya. Subang will be far for your hubby, but you will find it more convenient in terms of commuting, shopping etc. Putra Jaya I would say is still developing and so can be a tad inconvenient and far.

You can rent a car very easily in KL. I would suggest that rather than buying a car if you are there for a short period of time. If you want to buy a small car you have Kancil (something like the Maruti Zen) which is around RM 25,000 I think or a Saga (like Tata Indigo) which is around RM 40,000 I think. Please check the prices as I am not sure.
