Hi. I am new in KL. My husband works here . and I am on dependant visa. It gets boring during the day time. And I do not know understand the language in KL. Can some one suggest some activities like cooking classes ( only vegetarian) or some craft classes ,jewellery making or any part time job. Basically any thing that can help in utilizing time in good way. Thanks
@dipps Welcome to Malaysia and also to Indusladies here. Activities in KL is a very broad area. You have to see if anything is Available in your area for ease of transport and cost. Where do you live? I have seen many baking classes/ music/ cultural arts classes. But t depends on where you stay. Have a look at the newspapers everyday and something could interest you. If you are religious, ask in your nearby place of worship.
And if you will be here say at least a year, you could try learning Malay. It will be fun, its easy and can be self-learned. Then when you go shopping try using some phrases..
If you want to learn cooking, you need not go anywhere out of Indusladies. There should be about a 1000 recipes for you to try.. Browse the food section.. You can read, try and cook at your own pace and enjoy the feasts. Post pictures so that we can see too.. It takes some time to get set in a new country, totally can relate to that ..
