Opps, looks like I missed a good lot of interactions again. My bad:bowdown
Chandni, Broga hills is a good place for trekking (this statement is only valid in the event you have not gone there by the time I'm writing the same:hide:) The last time I went, there were so many mosquitoes around so do remember to have some lotion/medications to prevent mosquitoes from sucking your blood :shaking:

Preethi, how's your fracture? Hope it's healing well. I don't know about "mavvu kattu". I only know of the plaster of paris that's used in hospitals..but that's only used is the fracture is really bad. Not sure if there's any individual/private places in hulu langat who uses the same. Really sorry about this. What did your doctor recommend?

    Hi Chandni,
Holidays were super good...spent most of the time just relaxing at home :) I needed the break thus was really glad that I could get some good relaxing time during this holidays and catch up on some movies.
And it was also a good time to do some shopping. Some of the malls were open and since there were not much of a crowd and less traffic on the road, I had a super time shopping :)
Planning to go to the IT fair in Midvalley today. Hopefully there's not much crowd there as well.

How are you? What did you cook during the holidays? I'm not much of a cook actually...correction...I'm a bad cook actually. My mom does all the cooking at home and ever since I spoiled her cooking during the few times that I've tried "helping" her, I'm now officially barred from entering the kitchen area :hide:

:rotfl maavu kattu and plaster of paris are almost the same..... hahhaha....:rotfl

yea my fracture does not qualify enough for a plaster of paris!! and whatever, its still a fracture... and still paining.. just realized even a small crack of a small bone can cause so much of pain....:bonk

the specialist recommended to avoid walking for abt 6 weeks unless when it is very necessary.... ((and i kept walking all the while,, since cannot get a holiday break like this...) anywaysss its healing now and better..:thumbsup

same pinch.. even i did a lot of variety cooking.. and I am amazed with myself..

The IT fair was just so-so. The place is small and congested. And they had more booths for accesorries (headsets, mouse, backpack, keyboards etc) than for pc here. The one they had in KL Convention Centre last April was better. It had better deals and offers especially from HP. This time around, HP didn't have any good offer and their notebooks were really expensive. Lenovo on the other hand had some really good offers with some of their ideapads being offered at even around RM1000. This is far better than their previous price range which was nothing less than RM2300 onwards. I wanted to get a notebook for my mom and managed to get her a B470 for RM1699. They gave an extra 2 GB for free and the notebook comes with windows premium (for HP you have to add an extra RM55 for each extra GB and they only give windows starter).

The funny thing is there was a lucky draw for customers who purchase anything more than RM100. In the last IT fair, my brother in law got a HP speaker as his lucky draw price so my sister suggested that I try for it here. I ended up getting an ang pow packet (the envelope where you put money to gift kids on festival days) with Jackie Chan's face on it :rotflSo much for lucky draw gifts:rant

Hehe, whenever cooking is mentioned, I can almost imagine my mom singing to me "Thada! Unaku Thada!" ala Urmila in Indian:hide:
I can only manage the basics of cooking- frying egg, making sambar, rasam and rice. Oruthar uyirodu vazhradhuku intha saapadu podadha?? (isn't the above food items enough for a person to survive?)

Cooking vegetables and non-veg are a big NO-No for me...at least according to my mom. For most of the time I end up wasting and spoiling them instead of making them edible. So now you know why I'm barred from the kitchen?? Well, at least, no one can accuse me of not trying...

Ironically, baking comes more naturally to me than cooking. Even if the results are not picture perfect, but at least they are edible. :thumbsup

There are certain questions that I should not ask in public...this is one of them:hide:Ithu enaku thevathan.

Hehe, at least I know what is maavu kattu now. But seriously, I didn't know they do it in private places. I've only heard that doctors do it in hospitals. I can't even begin to imagine how painful it must be for you. Like they say, "thala vazhi, katchal ellam avanga avangalukku vandhathan antha vazhi puriyum". Hope you get well soon my dear. take care :)
