Insurance plan Question?

Hi friends, What kind of insurance plan is better for couples? My husband had a PPO before marriage but he got HMO plan after marriage. Which would be a better plan for us if we plan a child? Does PPO require to pay higher premium? Please guide . Thanks

Hi - each plan is very different - I suggest you get all the literature relating to the both plans and go through the benefits offered before you decide. Also take into account, the co-pays you may have, premiums, etc. Some HMO's are restrictive in which doctors you can see - so read through all documents before you make a decision. Talk to your hubby's colleagues and get a feel for the plans. Regardless of which plan you choose, I hope you are utilizing any section 125 plan if it is offered.
