Moving to Ilford!

Hey people ! This may well be my first thread, but i'v been hooked on to IL for a long time now. I just got married and will soon be moving to Ilford with my husband. I am kinda apprehensive about how UK is going to treat us...also coupled with curiosity of exploring the new place. What better place to get first hand info but here?... I was wondering if some of you, could guide me through some restaurants (Veg), Indian community centers, Temples etc. say...2 miles in and around Ilford. Your inputs are definitely going to be of immense help for a smooth kick start.

Ilford is dominated by Asian community so you will find yourself at home here.There are shopping malls and Indian grocery stores which cater to the Indians.East Ham which is very close to Ilford is another area which is dominated by Asian community and if you can't find something in Ilford then East Ham is definitely where your search ends.
