HI Pritti:

Welcome to the UK and Indusladies.

I could probably give you information about your first question. The best place where you could start your search for an indian community is the internet. You have specific websites for different communities - for example, UK Kannada Balaga is a forum for kannada speaking people in UK.

The next best place would be an Indian grocery store - this is more for information on their notice boards. Also, the store keeper would have some information about local groups I presume. And then, if you live close to or frequent a place of worship, you will probably get some information there as well.

You could possibly get information on disability groups from these above sources. However, you can check with your local council also for such groups.

Hope this helps.

Sindhu
