Hi Meena:
Welcome to Indusladies.
As Sitha mentioned you have the option of child care centre /day care nurseries. There will be quite a few local to the area you live in. You can start off with daycare centre to be safe and then also check childminders /babysitters (check the ones who are registered) since I believe based on the number of children they mind, they are able to give more attention. I'm not quite sure what the costs are, but I have a friend who leaves her son with a childminder in our town and pays her about £700/month. So I'm presuming in London it will be around £800/month or more.
There is a government department called Ofsted which is responsible for inspecting schools as well as all childcare for children under 8 years old. The Ofsted website at
http://www.ofsted.gov.uk publishes official reports on daycare online. The reports give useful indications of the strengths and weaknesses of a facility which may help parents who are looking for childcare. This might help you decide.
Hope you find your move to London smooth sailing and hoping see you in Indusladies' forums as well.
