Pregnant in Japan

hi friends

I am pregnant with my second baby in Japan now. Currently I am in my 2nd month. Here the nearby doc told me that I hav to come for pregnancy confirmation only in my 8th week.

But in India I began my checkups immediately after I knew that I was pregnant.

I want to know how the doctors are, How pregnant women r treated. Basically ur experiences as pregnant woman in Japan. It will b very usefull for me.

Hi,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. In Tokyo, Japan usually the first checkup is on during 6th week. Till 7th month the consultation is once in a month and then its monthly twice and in the last month its once a week. Sometimes it may vary depending on the Doc and the hospital.
