Default Apartments in dussledorf

Hi Frnds,

My hubby is coming on an assignement to dussledorf for a years time, so I will also be accompanying him. I went thru some of the websites abt dussledorf most of them say there will not be kitchens in general, we should request for them... Is it true? can anybody suggest some best ways to look for an accomodation for 2 in this place.

1. Is a single bedroom house sufficient, how much will the rent be appx.
2. Should we look for furnished or unfurnished house? which will be better in terms of comfort and cost .
3.Which area will be good ?
4.wat will be the cost of living for 2, including rent in dussledorf- A simple descent life.

Actually most of them frightened us regarding onsite to dussledorf, it was the mail thread in this forum that gave me some positive thought abt our travel.

Eagerly waiting for ur replies

Regards
Kk

Hi kk

here you can get kitchens which are flexible for us.
What do you mean by general kitchens?

1. Is a single bedroom house sufficient, how much will the rent be appx.

here we say its one bed room appt(one toilet, kitchen and bedroom)
2room appt(one hall, toilet,kitchen and one bedroom)
If you dont have kids 2room appt will be sufficient.

2. Should we look for furnished or unfurnished house? which will be better in terms of comfort and cost .
It depends on ur interest.
Coming to cost and years of stay you can have furnished house, if you can get it, bcos again it depends on area in which you search.
You need to be very careful with furnished house...any damage ..u need to repay.

3.Which area will be good ?

Sorry, I am not familiar with the area

4.wat will be the cost of living for 2, including rent in dussledorf- A simple descent life.

For decent life cost of living can be till 1500 euros including food and rent.

As I am not familiar with the area I have given you the overall idea.
The cost of livinig can be plus or minus depending on the area.

hope ppl frm dusseldorf suggest you more.

The items which you need to get while u r coming here is already mentioned in some of the posts.you can go thru them

have a nice day

Hi KK,

Don't worry, Dus is a good place to live in germany, you will get lot of furnished apartments wiht kitchen, bedroom, hall.

As amul said, you should be careful on the furnished one.

as you siad it is for 1 year, it is better to go for furnished where you even get all utensils for cooking so you just pack your cloths and some indianised cooking items.
Dus has lot of srilankan and pakistani stores so you will get everything.

Regarding place, all the place are well connected; with trams, trains and buses. so you don't need to worry about it. just check your hubbies job location and decide.
you can take monthly pass, which can be used for all trains, trams and weekend trips to any nearby locations without extra money.

Cost of living is very moderate for 2. it's not an expensive city.

Have a nice stay and take a good trip around europe.

Hi kk

DO you get any accomdation as soon as u land in germany?

If so, u can search after coming here and have a look at following websites.

If you can get a house thru agent you need to pay some amount to him and 3months rent advance to owner(I am not sure wether it is nearly 18% of the rent excluding maintenance charges)

If you can get a house without agent you need to pay only 3months advance to owner.

lastly it depends up on the owner wether he should be informed before 3months of leaving the house or more than that or less than that.

In germany as per rule it is min 3months.

you can go thru
www.Immobilienscout24.de

any doubts you can ask.....without hesitating
