Default Information required for a short stay in Germany

HI
I am here to request all who are residing /or were residing in germany , about information of the best places to visit . The time available is only a week.
Also tell if there are any particular/typical routines which a visitor to the country should observe, if you could remember any , from when you were new over there /or if any guest of yours faced it.
And yes what all should be bought from there as souviniers, somebody told that if one wishes to buy chocolates its better to tell ..whether sweet or bitter is required.
Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

Dear Jenz
Thanks for the reply, the visit is to berlin....but not me ,
Actually I thought that these countries are quite small , compared to India..thus much less travelling time required, is it right?

Hi muzna,

I think berlin itself is a place to explore..if u r intrested in history. Its a good historical place.postdam is also an imp place to visit.
I think you can vist to koln and if possible luxemberg is also beautiful place.not sure how far it is from berlin. But in germany you can travel nywhere as transportation is fast in ICE.

wish u ah happy trip

Post Re: Information required for a short stay in Germany

Hello Muzna,

As amul said Travelling is much faster here with ICE.
If you want to travel in Germany then Garmisch Partenkirchen is beautifull place.. Colgne..Frankfurt is also very nice.. n' Berlin itself :)

Offcourse ..you can not caver it all in a week's stay.

Out of country ...Belgium , Nedarlands are very beautifull n' near frm berlin...Austria n' czek republic also near by but i don't think it's worth going there in one weeks stay.

If you need any info..let me know.

Wish U happy Journey :)
